The following revisions are being proposed to bring consistency within the catalog to clarify that students who are eligible to enroll in 500/600 level courses fall into to the following three catagories:

1. Graduate Students
2. Undergraduate students who have been accepted into an Accelerated Master's
Program.
3. Senior undergraduate students within one semester of graduation who have received
Dean approval.

Below are the catalog pages, current verbiage and proposed verbiage change:

Proposed change to verbiage:

Under Hour Loads
Current Verbiage:
Nine hours is considered full time in a semester and six hours is considered full time in a summer session. The maximum class load for graduate students is 12 semester hours in a semester and six semester hours in each summer session or a total of 12 hours distributed over the entire eight-week summer term. In any schedule combining graduate and undergraduate work, the hour load may not exceed that prescribed for a full-time graduate student.
Proposed change to verbiage:
Nine hours is considered full time in a semester and six hours is considered full time in a summer session. The maximum class load for graduate students is 12 semester hours in a semester and six semester hours in each summer session or a total of 12 hours distributed over the entire eight-week summer term.
The rationale for deleting the last sentence is that the AMP/Faculty Advisors would insure that these students are taking an appropriate class load, and it is not possible to automate a hour load restriction in Banner for students taking a combination of UGRD and GRAD level classes.
