SACSCOC Credentials Guidelines:
 
1. Faculty teaching undergraduate general education and/or baccalaureate courses: Doctorate or Master’s degree in the teaching discipline or Master’s degree with a concentration in the discipline (a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline).
 
2. Faculty teaching graduate and post-baccalaureate course work: Earned Doctorate/ terminal degree in the teaching discipline or a related discipline (a minimum of 18 hours above the Master’s degree in the teaching discipline).
SW 524 Social Justice, Rights and Advocacy. This course covers social inequities, diversity and interactions with clients from various backgrounds.
SW 605 Advanced Social Welfare Policy Analysis. This course covers advanced social policy analysis and macro social change efforts.
Graduate coursework in teaching field: SW 600, Social Work and Welfare State (3); SW 605, Social Work Education (3); SW 620, Social Work Research I (3); SW 621, Social Work Research II (3); SW 640, Concepts of Practice (3); SW 700, Advanced Theories on Oppression (3).

Ms. Bolton has an MSW from Asbury University in Wilmore, KY and is currently completing her Ph.D. in Social Work at the University of Alabama, with an expected completion date of May 2024.
