This proposal is to create two new schools in the College of Arts, Sciences, and Engineering in addition to the existing School of the Arts to form a Three School Model within CASE. The rationale for this proposal is in order to (1) engender greater departmental and programmatic cohesion, (2) provide additional avenues for advocacy for faculty, staff, and students within the college, and (3) empower similar disciplines to collaborate and share ideas—all while facilitating greater ease of administration and leadership for the college as a whole.

The two new schools being proposed are:
School of Humanities and Social Sciences
School of Natural Sciences, Engineering, and Mathematics

The department structure underneath the new 3 school model is attached.
