1. Faculty teaching undergraduate general education and/or baccalaureate courses: Doctorate or Master’s degree in the teaching discipline or Master’s degree with a concentration in the discipline (a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline).

2. Faculty teaching graduate and post-baccalaureate course work: Earned Doctorate/ terminal degree in the teaching discipline or a related discipline (a minimum of 18 hours above the Master’s degree in the teaching discipline).

Request Details

The College of Education and Human Sciences is proposing to consolidate the existing departments of Elementary Education and Secondary Education into one new department entitled the Department of Teaching, Learning, and Leadership.

This request is to create:
*A new department code of TLL (Teaching, Learning, and Leadership) in Banner and CourseLeaf.
*A new catalog landing page for the Department of Teaching, Learning, and Leadership in the 2021-2022 catalog and inactivation of the Elementary Ed and Secondary Ed catalog pages.
*Update all impacted program codes with new dept code of TLL.
*Update all impacted courses with new dept code of TLL.
