Reformatting of UNA/Four Hour Institution requirement for Bachelor's Degree

SACSCOC Credentials Guidelines:
 
1. Faculty teaching undergraduate general education and/or baccalaureate courses: Doctorate or Master’s degree in the teaching discipline or Master’s degree with a concentration in the discipline (a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline).
 
2. Faculty teaching graduate and post-baccalaureate course work: Earned Doctorate/ terminal degree in the teaching discipline or a related discipline (a minimum of 18 hours above the Master’s degree in the teaching discipline).

In order to clarify the intent of this requirement, we've reformatted utilizing bullet points and changed the wording of "Senior Institution" to "Four Year Institution".

Existing requirement in 2018-2019 catalog:

1. Hour Requirements: A minimum of 120-semester hours of credit (except where specified higher). At least 36 semester hours must be junior-senior level courses (numbered 300-400). At least one-half of the minimum hour requirements for the major must be in junior-senior level courses (numbered 300-400). At least 50% of the credit hours must be earned from UNA or other senior institutions, 25% of which must be earned from UNA. Exceptions apply to RN to BSN or RN to MSN students. Exceptions to these policies must be compliant with accreditation standards and be approved by the department chair for the major and the dean of the college awarding the degree.
