The current Second Chance Provision policy does not specifiy any stipulations regarding Latin honors. However, under our Degrees with Honors policy, there is a stipulation that states:

Students who have met the Second Chance Provision are not eligible to graduate with honors.

This proposal is to remove this stipulation and allow students who utlize the Second Chance provision to graduate with Honors if indeed they they earn the appropriate gpa through avenues addressed by our existing policies.

Rationale:
*We don’t keep students who use repeat/recomputes from graduating with honors.
*Many student who utilize the Second Chance provision come back as some of our stronger students.
*We should not penalize a student for taking advantage of a policy that’s intended to encourage their improved academic performance.
