SACSCOC Credentials Guidelines:
 
1. Faculty teaching undergraduate general education and/or baccalaureate courses: Doctorate or Master’s degree in the teaching discipline or Master’s degree with a concentration in the discipline (a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline).
 
2. Faculty teaching graduate and post-baccalaureate course work: Earned Doctorate/ terminal degree in the teaching discipline or a related discipline (a minimum of 18 hours above the Master’s degree in the teaching discipline).

In anticipation of the new BBA Major in Data Analytics major scheduled for Fall 2021, this new subject code of DA for Data Analytics is being submitted to be used to rename the existing QM, Quantitative Methods courses.

The process will be that all existing QM courses will use the same number but have DA as the subject code. New course proposals will be submitted with DA and the exisiting course numbers while simultaneously inactivation proposals will be submitted for the exisinting QM courses.
