Our professional organization, the American Industrial Hygiene Association (now simply known as AIHA) is engaged in a global campaign to rebrand the profession and position the association to represent occupational health and safety science professionals instead of solely Industrial Hygienists. This rebranding effort was launched in June 2020. To remain relevant, we need to revamp and rebrand the IH degree to align with our professional association which includes changing the name of our department from the Department of Chemistry/Industrial Hygiene to the Department of Chemistry and Occupational Health Science.
