Business Spanish Minor
The Business Spanish minor is designed to provide students with the relevant language skills and practical knowledge necessary for conducting business operations and transactions in a Spanish-speaking business environment. This minor has three key components: a foundation in business writing in Spanish, an overview of business concepts and cultures across the Hispanic world, and the practical application and exercise of those concepts in a bilingual (Spanish and English) business environment. The Business Spanish minor is open to students in any major and does not require additional business coursework to complete. Students seeking a more comprehensive education in business are encouraged to pursue the Spanish for Commerce major and a minor or second major in a specific business discipline. Students completing this minor should anticipate functioning at an Intermediate mid- to high level of oral proficiency based on standards established by the American Council on Teaching Foreign Languages (ACTFL).
