Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Track - Post Master's Certificate
The Post-Master’s Certificate program consists of 23 to 32 credit hours, depending on whether the student is required to complete the support courses. The program includes a minimum of 500 clinical practicum hours and requires attendance at two on-campus intensives.
Students must have successfully completed three separate, comprehensive, graduate-level courses in the following areas, each with a grade of “B” or higher:
- Advanced Physiology/Pathophysiology
- Advanced Health Assessment
- Advanced Pharmacology (collectively referred to as "the three P’s")
It is strongly recommended that students consider retaking one or more of these courses if the content is not currently utilized in their clinical practice or if the courses were completed more than 10 years ago.
